Hi! My name is Emile (he/him) and I study and teach labour geographies, urban platform economies and digital humanities.

I'm a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Research on Migration and Society (IRMS) at Concordia University in Montréal, Canada, for Bridging Divides. I have a PhD in Human Geography from York University in Toronto, Canada. I also have an MSc in Human Geography from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

My research focuses on urban labour, new digital technologies, migration and citizenship. I am interested in labour platforms, food delivery services and truck driving. I have collaborated on multiple research projects, including the study of the experiences of young migrant food delivery riders with the Institut National de la recherche scientifique (INRS) and of the role of firewalls with Canada's Excellence Reseach Chair (CERC) Migration and Integration at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).

Je suis chercheur postdoctoral à l'Institut de Recherche sur les Migrations et la Société (IRMS) à l'Université Concordia à Montréal, Canada pour Bridging Divides. Je suis titulaire d'un doctorat en Géographie Humaine de l'Université York à Toronto, Canada. J'ai aussi une maîtrise en Géographie humaine de l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Mes recherches se concentrent sur le travail urbain, les nouvelles technologies numériques, les migrations humaines et la citoyenneté. Je suis particulièrement intéresé par les plateformes de travail, la livraison de repas et le camionnage. J'ai eu la chance de collaborer sur plusieurs projets dont l'études des expériences des jeunes livreurs migrants avec l'Institut National de la recherche scientifique (INRS) et sur le rôle des pare-feux avec Canada's Excellence Reseach Chair (CERC) Migration and Integration de l'Université Toronto Metropolitan (TMU).
